Your layout. Your font. Your colours.
3 layouts (Sidebar, Classic, Compact), 3 fonts and 12 colour schemes, from navy and gold to plain black and white, so your CV doesn’t look like everyone else’s. Every one is easy to read, for people and for the software that job sites use to sort CVs.
How it works
Make your master CV
Sign in with Google (Apple coming soon). Upload the CV you have, or answer simple questions one at a time if you do not have one. Keel checks it for free and tells you what to fix.
Paste a job ad
Copy the words of a job ad (not the link) and paste them in. For free, Keel shows how well you match the job (your fit rating) and the top of a CV made for it.
Apply
Get the full CV and a cover letter for that job. Save them to your phone or computer, then send them with your application.
Have ready: your CV if you have one, and the job ad you want to apply for.
Please note: Keel saves your master CV and your email (and daily usage counts and payment records). It does not save the CVs and letters it makes for each job, so save them before you leave the page.
What Keel does not do: it does not make up experience, apply for the job for you, or promise you an interview. Check every detail before you send it.
Simple pricing
Make and save your master CV, and get the free CV check and one suggested wording. For each job: how well you match, and the top of a CV made for it (up to 3 jobs a day).
The full CV and cover letter for one job. Plus all of Keel’s suggested wording for your master CV.
Up to 15 jobs in 30 days, with interview help and answers to selection criteria. Plus all the suggested wording. It never renews by itself. Still looking after 30 days? Add another 30 days and 15 jobs for NZ$14.99.
Prices in New Zealand dollars, including GST where it applies. If you pay with a card from another country, your bank converts it.
Questions
Why do I sign in?
So Keel can save your master CV and you only make it once. We ask Google for your email and nothing else.
What is a master CV?
Your main CV: your work, school, skills and anything else you have done, saved in one place. For each job, Keel uses it to make a shorter CV that fits that job.
I don't have a CV. Can I still use Keel?
Yes. Choose Answer questions. Keel asks about your work, school, sport, volunteering and skills one step at a time, then makes your CV from your answers.
What do NZ and Australian recruiters look for?
Two pages if you can, three only if you really need them, or one page for a first job. If the job ad or application form says how long, do what it says. Your newest job goes first. Your work rights (whether you are allowed to work here) near the top. What you achieved, with numbers where you have them, not just what your job was. Your licences and certificates. "Referees available on request", or the names of two or three people who can vouch for you if the ad asks. No photo, age or marital status. Plain fonts and simple headings so the software that job sites use to sort CVs can read it, with your name in the file name, such as firstname-lastname-CV.pdf. Some recruiters ask for a Word copy so they can put it in their own layout. Keel's free CV check covers most of these.
Can I change how my CV looks?
Yes. Choose a Sidebar, Classic or Compact layout, a font and a colour scheme. The CVs and cover letters Keel makes for each job use the same look. You can change it any time. The line under your name is optional: Keel suggests options from your CV, such as a job title or a summary of your experience. Use one, edit it, or leave the line off.
Why paste the ad instead of a link?
Pasting the text is quicker and works for any job site.
What is free?
Making and saving your master CV. The CV check, which tells you what to fix. For each job ad: how well you match, the words from the ad your CV already has, and the top of a CV made for that job. You can try up to 3 job ads a day.
What do I pay for?
The full CV and cover letter for a job, as Word and PDF files you can send. You also get all of Keel's suggested wording for your master CV, which you can change before you use it. A job pack is for one job. A 30-day pass is for up to 15 jobs, with interview help and answers to selection criteria.
Does the pass renew by itself?
No. It ends after 30 days and you decide whether to buy another.
Do you keep my CV?
Keel keeps one thing: your master CV (with any answers you give it for government job questions), until you delete it or do not use Keel for 12 months. It does not keep the CVs, letters and answers it makes for each job, or the job ads. Save those on your phone, computer or drive.
How do I delete my data?
Go to Account and choose Delete my data. It removes your master CV and email straight away.
Will it make things up?
No. It only uses what you tell it. Read everything before you send it.
Is the fit rating right?
It is a guide to how well your CV matches the ad, not a promise.
Can I get a refund?
If you are not happy, email us within 7 days of buying and we will put it right or refund you.
Will this get me an interview?
We cannot promise that. It gives you a stronger, tidier application.
How do I get help?
Email phillipkaiwai80@gmail.com. We reply within one working day.
